WHO WE ARE
It is incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special
Headway UK is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference to the ways in which brain injury is perceived, diagnosed and treated. Thus branches across the nation have been established.
Working in affiliation with Headway UK, Headway Milton Keynes was established in 2000 and aims to improve life after brain injury for residents in and around the Milton Keynes Borough.
Headway Milton Keynes endeavours to provide a supportive, stimulating and caring environment, which promotes rehabilitation/enablement and the rebuilding of confidence and self-esteem in our clients at Headway and in the wider community.
We are an organisation that recognises and values the skills and life experiences, professionalism, teamwork and commitment of the staff and volunteers, as well as fostering the well-being of all who come here.
WHAT WE DO
Headway Milton Keynes is run by a small team of staff who run sessions, work 1-1 and encourage achievement of goals.
We are supported by an amazing team of volunteers who support our coordinators in running our sessions.
Our sessions are created to rehabilitate individuals who have suffered a brain injury.
We also offer support for families, carers and friends of those individuals.
We work in collaboration with a variety of services across Milton Keynes including the Milton Keynes City Council, NHS Services, GP's and other charities and businesses.
This is to ensure communication and focus is on our clients needs and goals.
